Welcome to a toddler Mum’s travel diary

…aka a masochist.
I have travelled far and wide with my two toddlers and want to share things you really need to know about travelling with young children.
This is not an Instagram to show off my darling angels reading Pride and Prejudice on a 14 hour flight, trying cuisine that isn’t a French fry, or hiking the Himalayans.
This is the reality. The brutal truth. This is…
The good, the bad and the tantrums.
An advice website for parents that still want to travel but are terrified of flying with their baby, not sure the best destination for their little ones or just need some tips for an upcoming trip.
Travelling shouldn’t stop when you have kids, it just looks a little different. My aim is to help fellow parents and hope they learn from my travelling blunders or even just some humorous reading material for the 2am feed!
With the harsh reality of travelling with children comes solutions to overcome those hurdles and how to make your holiday run smoother than that first sip of a Pina Colada.
I am far from Mother of the Year and my children are not saints: they have tantrums, they live on chicken nuggets, and are addicted to their tablets. All three also relate to me.
If you take just a few tips from this site then I will lay in bed – getting kicked in the head by my toddler – happy…ish.
As a primary school teacher, all of my trips are on a budget. This site will highlight places where to and where not to spend your money.
