With the rides and play areas, you could spend a whole day there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toddlertravels.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/IMG_1863-1-1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-813\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.toddlertravels.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/IMG_1863-1-1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.toddlertravels.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/IMG_1863-1-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.toddlertravels.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/IMG_1863-1-1-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.toddlertravels.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/IMG_1863-1-1-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.toddlertravels.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/IMG_1863-1-1-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apart from CBeebies land, there is not a huge amount at Alton Towers for toddlers to do apart from the Sea Life Centre and the David Walliams area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are a couple of other rides with a low height restriction of 0.9m: <strong>The Curse, Hex, Heave Ho, Battle Galleons.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Curse<\/strong> and <strong>Hex<\/strong> may be scary for younger children. <strong>Heave Ho<\/strong> is a typical swinging pirate ship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Battle Galleons<\/strong> is a fantastic water shooting slow ride that me and my daughter found hilarious. There are so many different rides for toddlers and regular shows with current favourite characters, like Bluey and Bing, even during term time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toddlertravels.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/20260414_104516-1-1024x473.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-817\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.toddlertravels.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/20260414_104516-1-1024x473.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.toddlertravels.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/20260414_104516-1-300x139.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.toddlertravels.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/20260414_104516-1-768x355.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.toddlertravels.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/20260414_104516-1-1536x709.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.toddlertravels.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/20260414_104516-1-2048x946.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What surprised me, during our first visit &#8211; when my youngest was one, is how many of the kid\u2019s rides had height restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This makes Alton Towers, in my opinion, not as accessible for babies but better for older toddlers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following have a 0.9m height restriction: <strong>Bluey: The Ride, Peter Rabit Hippity Hop, Go Jetters Vroomster Zoom Ride, Octonauts Rollercoaster, Justin\u2019s Pie-O-Matic Factory.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are plenty of other rides for little ones but if you only plan on going once, I would try and wait until the kids are over 0.9m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toddlertravels.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/20250428_133308-1-1024x473.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-885\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.toddlertravels.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/20250428_133308-1-1024x473.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.toddlertravels.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/20250428_133308-1-300x139.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.toddlertravels.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/20250428_133308-1-768x355.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.toddlertravels.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/20250428_133308-1-1536x709.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.toddlertravels.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/20250428_133308-1-2048x946.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rides and attractions without a limit (But require adult supervision) include: <strong>Hey Duggee Big Adventure Badge, Andy\u2019s Adventures Dinosaur Dig, JoJo and Gran Gran at Home, Something Special Sensory Garden, Bugbie Go Round, In the Night Garden Magical Boat Ride, Get Set Go Treetop Adventure.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Below I describe each ride in more detail to help you decide if it is suitable for your toddler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rides in CBeebies Land for toddlers<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We were really lucky to ride the Bluey rollercoaster when it had just opened. But with little people high on E numbers instead of\u2026 well minus the numbers?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Peter Rabbit Hippity Hop<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a gentle up and drop ride for children over 0.9m. It is exactly the same as Raj\u2019s Bouncy Bottom Burp in the David Walliams area so there is no need to do both.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The negative is that if your child is under 1.1m, you must ride with them. perfect for a bit <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-color\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.toddlertravels.com\/wp\/?page_id=919\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"919\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">free play.<\/a><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Alton Towers website description confused because it says you collect badges and meet Duggee but it really is just a playground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have seen Duggee in there once but no badges, either I have this mornings Weetabix in my eyes or it has recently changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Andy\u2019s Adventures Dinosaur Dig<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is another play area perfect for toddler <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-color\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.toddlertravels.com\/wp\/?page_id=919\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"919\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">free play<\/a><\/mark> as it has a sand pit for digging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unfortunately we have never caught the show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They also travel around CBeebies in a safari type jeep, with a little baby dinosaur, teaching and interacting with the children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>JoJo and Gran Gran at Home<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is a queue time for this attraction but we have never had to queue. I do think it is worth a visit and home to some fun toddler friendly rides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have always found the queues shorter here than CBeebies land too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Gansta Granny The Ride<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This has a &nbsp;0.9m height requirement and could be scary for some toddlers. It wasn\u2019t because I\u2019m fat (or so they say) it just broke down. A kid was freaking out and pushing lower down on the already extremely tight bar. If you want to avoid costly therapy bills then nominate your husband or avoid altogether.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Royal Carousel<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Does what is says on the tin: it is a carousel ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Cuckoo Cars Driving School<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a great quirky little driving school for older toddlers as there is a 1m height requirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" pushchair you need to wait for the ride to finish and for a ride attendant to open a gate for you to access the area as otherwise the only path is via a bridge with stairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is, however, a more accessible route if you keep going past the towers and enter the land nearer the Sky Ride and Carousel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sharkbait Reef: Alton Towers Aquarium<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A nice addition to Alton Towers Theme Park is a small aquarium ideal for toddlers and babies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toddlertravels.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/IMG_9932-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-848\"
